The Facility

The Museum is 4,000 square feet and a capacity of 150 seated, 200 standing. The stage is 12×20 and has a ramp and mobile stairs and is complete with a full lights and sound system. The bar has a commercial glass door refrigerator for beverages and cold storage, a full size kegerator, prep counters and prep sinks. Different style tables, chairs, tablecloths, chair covers, sashes and centerpieces are available on request. Two handicap restrooms are available. Free games include a full size pool table and skeeball machine.

The Museum is an excellent venue for weddings and private parties not only because it is located just 15 minutes north of downtown Spokane but it has plenty of space and seating for your guests, a stage for a band or DJ, projector screen for slideshows and videos, large dance floor, and free games to make your event one to remember!

The Story Of The Museum

The Museum (FKA Carr’s One of a Kind in the World Museum) was once filled with remarkable things such as a 1973 Lincoln Mark IV made for Elvis Presley, a 1968 Lincoln stretch limo used by Jackie Gleason, multiple African animal trophies and a variety of antiques. Now keeping part of the old name, in honor of the late Marvin Carr, the 4,000 square foot building has been turned into an event center available to rent for events of all sorts.
The main room has tables, chairs (linens and chair covers optional) and booths available for 120 people and a large dance floor in front of a 12×20 stage that is equipped with a full light and sound production available for a live band or DJ. The bar has 6 barstools, a unique piano bar, a pool table and a skeeball machine to entertain your guests of all ages. There is also a VIP lounge conveniently located next to the stage and is available to the host or performer for the duration of the event.
The first event held at The Museum was a free Back to the Future party held on 10/21/15 (the same day Marty McFly visited the future in the 2nd film) that featured all three films played on the 22 foot projector screen along with various props such as Doc’s letter to Marty and a hoverboard replica on display. Thanks to the 12 foot overhead doors, we were able to have an actual DeLorean parked inside the building for the public to sit in and take photos with. Other past events include private parties, weddings, receptions, Christmas parties, banquets, graduation parties, memorials and sport viewing parties.
